WANDA SHIPPY:
So as a company, Progressive wants to align with things that make sense for us and provide ample opportunity for our employees to be able to engage and give back.
HANNAH ROSENBERGER:
We thought that homelessness would be a natural fit for our organization. You know, we sell home insurance, and we knew that it was something that we could make a positive impact in.
WANDA SHIPPY:
We decided to fund Humble Design to set up operations here in Cleveland.
DEBBIE EASTBURN:
We help folks get a fresh start who are exiting homelessness. We give them all the things they need to turn an empty house into a home.
SPEAKER 4:
This is really nice.
SPEAKER 5:
Welcome home.
DEBBIE EASTBURN:
Our motto is togetherness to end homelessness and we could not do this without Progressive. We have worked together since the beginning and that's been amazing for us.
NADA YOUSSEF:
Progressive is a company that legit cares for the community, for its employees, and the mental health and the well-being of all. But seeing it in my own eyes, and helping with my own hands, and my own teammates being here, it makes me feel deeper about Progressive.
WANDA SHIPPY:
We had a desire to give all of our employees across the country an opportunity to help in the homelessness space. So, we identified Family Promise as another corporate cause. They do a much broader level of support that really augments the work that we're doing with Humble Design.
I moved/combined voiceover text when spoken at the same time.
JACQUELINE SALTER:
So our mission is to make sure that when families come to us who are experiencing crisis of homelessness, that we provide them with a safe space where they can work to get back into the community. Progressive employees have been so giving and helpful, and we're getting requests almost by the day of different volunteer projects they'd like to do.
TRICIA GRIFFITH:
I think working with places like Humble Design Cleveland and Family Promise really aligns with our brand purpose to help people move forward and live fully. How can you do either of those if you don't have a roof over your head? So I think it's a great cause.
