Your specialized claims rep helps you navigate the process
A claims rep specially trained in handling boat and watercraft insurance claims contacts you to explain everything your policy covers and how your coverages apply to your damages, and guides you through the process.

Your claims rep is always your main point of contact — you can reach out to them for anything. Throughout the process, however, you’ll likely work with a few different people. For example, you may work with an estimator who inspects your watercraft, writes the estimate that describes how much repairs cost, or manages the repairs to your watercraft with a shop. If you’re injured in the accident, you may also speak with a representative who specializes in handling medical claims.
Your claims rep schedules the inspection, then walks you through the estimate
Your claims rep schedules a time for an estimator to inspect your watercraft at the repair shop you choose. Your claims rep then reviews the estimate with you, explaining how much repairs cost and what you may have to pay. Your estimate accounts for any unique features to make sure your watercraft is returned to its previous condition.
In some cases, given the extent of the damage to your boat, it may be determined that completing repairs is not practical. If this is the case, your boat is considered a total loss.
Your payment depends on what coverage you selected. To speed up the process, please have your title and proof of ownership documents. We subtract your deductible from your payment.
You schedule your repairs
We’re happy to work with any repair shop you’d like. Also, we have established relationships with many repair shops and can provide a recommendation if needed. If you decide not to get repairs, we simply send you payment for the estimate amount (minus your applicable deductible).
If you finance your watercraft, your lender may require you to get repairs.
Your watercraft is repaired
We keep you updated throughout the boat insurance claim and repair process based on the shop’s estimated time of completion.
