Follow the steps below to file an RV insurance claim and get your motorhome or trailer fixed.
You can submit a claim by logging in to your policy online, through our mobile app, or calling our claims center. If you're not a Progressive customer, you can file a claim online as a guest. We’ll just need some basic info — then we’ll take it from there.
A claims representative specially trained in handling RV and travel trainer insurance claims will contact you to explain everything your policy covers and how your coverages apply to your damages and guide you through the process. These reps are highly trained to understand the nuances of the RV/travel trailer repairs process and will make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Your claims rep will always be your main point of contact. However, you’ll likely work with a few different experts during the process, such as an estimator. They’ll inspect your vehicle, write the estimate that describes how much repairs cost, or manage the repairs to your vehicle with a shop. If you’re injured in the accident, you may also speak with a representative who specializes in handling medical claims.
Your rep will schedule a time for an estimator to inspect your RV/travel trailer anywhere you’d like (repair shop, campground, home, etc.). Your claims rep will then review the estimate with you and explain how much repairs cost and what you may have to pay. Your estimate will account for any unique features to make sure your vehicle is returned to its previous condition.
In some cases, given the extent of the damage to your RV, it may be determined that completing repairs is not practical. If this is the case, your RV would be considered a total loss.
Your payment depends on what coverage you selected. To speed up the process, please have your title and proof of ownership documents. We’ll subtract your deductible from your payment.
We’re happy to work with any repair shop you’d like. Also, we have established relationships with many repair shops and can provide a recommendation if needed. If you decide not to get repairs, we’ll simply send you a check for the estimate amount (minus your applicable deductible).
If you finance your vehicle, your lender may require you to get repairs.
If your vehicle is undriveable, we’ll help you tow it to a repair shop. Otherwise, you can drop your vehicle off at the repair shop during your scheduled time. We’ll manage the repairs from beginning to end and keep you updated throughout the repair process. If additional damage is discovered, we’ll revise the estimate so you get the repairs you need. When your repairs have been completed, all you’ll need to do is pick up your vehicle and go.
